The Church service was interesting and inspiring today! Marsha Relyea Miles took us on a journey of time and distance to Papua New Guinea. 30 years ago she and her late husband John, (with children) moved to the jungle to live with the Aruamu tribe. They developed an alpha-bet, because there was no written language. Then they started the dual process of translating the Bible into the language of Aruamu tribe, while teaching them how to read and write in the "new" written language. The results? Many churches have been planted among the different Aruamu tribes and thousands have become believers in Christ.
In today's service, two young men from the Aruamu tribe stood before us as converts to Christ. Both of them gave a testimony of God's saving power! Following the service we had a fund raising dinner for famine relief for the Aruamu people. We raised $8,200.00. Thank you for your generosity. You all truly rock for Jesus!!
