Every Believer has the ability to make the Body of Christ stronger.  We are a combination of natural abilities, developed skills and spiritual gifts from God.  With all of these powerful resources available, the CHURCH should be fully equipped to meet all the challenges faced...  "OK," it is great in theory,
but the reality is that most fellowships are understaffed, underfunded and missing some of the important pieces needed to overcome the challenges.

At Believers Church we take the following strategy in dealing with this problem.  Rather than "burning out" those that are faithful, we are employing two strategies: Firstly, we are not going to take on any new ministry endeavors unless we have the resources to do it well.  Secondly, we are encouraging every Believer to become spiritually employed in God's work. We want everyone to be "connected" to the work of the ministry.
              

"Even new Believers?" You ask.  Becoming a Believer in Christ is only the first step in the process of becoming a Follower of Christ.  According to Ephesians 2:10, we are God's workmanship and are created in Christ Jesus for the purpose of doing good works, which God has already prepared for us to do.  This means that everyone should be faithfully serving in an area of service that is a match for their spiritual maturity.  This is the process by which we make disciples. As a growing, thriving Church, we will always need more people pulling the load and less people being the load.
