Revival Teaching Part 1
Icebreakers:
Read Revival definition:
Revival in a biblical and historical sense: is an act of mercy in the sovereignty of God, through which He pours out the Holy Spirit amongst thirsty people. Resulting in a restoration of lost power and life to advance Christ's Kingdom as originally intended. To recover, repair, restore.
Read the steps of experiencing revival:
Revival is always preceded by agonizing prayer.
Agonizing prayer is always preceded by vision.
Vision is always preceded by barrenness.
We don't have revival because we are not in agonizing prayer for it.
We are not in agonizing prayer for it because we have no vision
We have no vision because we are content in our barrenness
No scriptural basis
Same as evangelistic crusades
Same as healing meetings/conferences
Read Hosea 10:12
Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
