What is the Worship Team all About?A Call to Worship! Think the 150th Psalm!!
Praise the Lord! Praise Godin His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringe instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Music is a human expression of worship. It is not "the" only expression of worship, but it is a powerful expression none-the-less! The beauty of music is a mere, and perhaps--a trite, reflection of God's utter and complete beauty of character; but there are rare moments of inspiration where we get a sense and a taste of God's grandeur. What a glorious experience the prophet Isaiah must have had when He saw the throne of God. John experienced much the same as he witnessed the angels of heaven worshiping God. Why wait until we reach heaven? The Bible tells us that where two or three are gathered in His name, our Lord is present; therefore, let us make His praise glorious today! |
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
